Storesfront, Asakusabashi

This is on a backstreet in Asakusabashi, an onld "shitamachi" neighborhood in Tokyo near the Sumida River.

This is a little neighborhood bar, the kind of place you still see all over the city frequented mostly by the people who live or work nearby. The place was still closed, prepping for the evening customers. I liked the roof tiles, wooden sliding doors and the dark interior with the umbrella hanging on the back of a chair. It had been raining most of the day, but cleared up late in the afternoon.

This was shot on a Canon P with a Canon 35mm f2 lens using Ilford HP5, currently by go-to film partly because I seem to keep running into deals for them.
