Minolta Madness

My next piece is going to be about a black beauty, i loved this one so much i bought another one for my girlfriend. I saw it at a fleamarket one day when i just started collecting cameras. I knew the brand but i never saw this type, i just knew i had to buy it. It was my lovely Minolta Hi-Matic GF.
This one is really really plastic fantastic. It feels cheap but somehow it feels just good. Like most of the old plastic cameras theres no telling what kind of pictures it will take. Sometimes they give great pictures and sometimes they just suck. I also never know what subjects to choose for each camera.
When i got some of my regular cheap(read free :P) film in the cam i just started shooting everything. Inside the house, outside, flowers, cars, my parents, random people on the street. I got the film developped and when i got it back, i looked at the film and i loved it. The photos where i got the focus right(i forgot to focus it every now and then)they were perfect. I especially loved the portraits i shot with it.
When you use it in bright weather you can use its fast shutterspeed to make it really sharp. If you use the largest aperture on this beaty the depth of field is lovely, sharp where you want it and beautifully unsharp where you want it to be.
This camera is what i call my sundaymorning/hangover camera. Its so easy to use, just look at the sky, down at the lens and match the pictures on the lens with the look of the sky. Sun if its sunny, cloud with sun if you see that and just clouds if the weather is bad. Theres really nothing you can do wrong with this camera.........as long as you dont forget the focus :P
