Kodak To Open Film Processing Lab At Pinewood Studios

PDN is reporting that Kodak will open a film processing lab at Pinewood Studios to make motion picture film more accessible to filmmakers.

Kodak motion picture film was famously saved from what looked like certain death by a coterie of high-profile filmmakers who lobbied studios in 2014 to place long-term orders with Kodak to keep film alive.

Fast forward to today and while Kodak is very much in the motion picture film business, it’s still difficult for productions to find locations to process said film. Kodak is working to rectify that by slowly building, leasing and partnering with facilities in major production cities to process its motion picture film.
